Why We Tried CREATINE – And Why I Still Take It Today

Why We Tried Creatine – And Why I Still Take It Today”

A Personal Story – How It All Began:
Some supplements you don’t take because they’re trendy –
You take them because you’re reaching for something,  A straw of hope.
That’s how it was for us.

My late wife had cancer –
with everything that comes with it: pain, fear, surgeries, and side effects.

Her doctor prescribed her after the operation Tamoxifen
a drug known to reduce the risk of recurrence,
but also known for causing many side effects, i.a.memory problems.

As She also was already showing signs of early dementia,
we started looking for something – anything – that might help to improve.

coincidentally I discovered Creatine, in a Shop for my supplements,
Not for muscles or gym performance –
but because of scientific studies showing it might also help the brain.

So we both gave it a try.
And I’ve always lived by this one principle:
“I test first on myself – before I recommend anything to others.”

My Experience – What Changed for Me:
I started taking Creatine daily, alongside my usual supplement routine.
And honestly?

I noticed a difference.
Not a dramatic boost – but subtile improvements.
My memory felt sharper.
My endurance during workouts improved.
My thinking became quicker, clearer.
And I felt that it supported autophagy
that inner cellular cleansing process that kicks in during fasting.

With my wife, sadly, the effect wasn’t as noticeable.
Maybe it was too late.
Maybe it would’ve helped more if we had started earlier.
Maybe we should’ve used I3C from broccoli instead of Tamoxifen…But…But…

After all I’m still grateful we tried.

Today – Creatine Is Part of My Routine:
I still take Creatine regularly – not every day, but almost.
Especially On days when I want to push a little harder – whether it's with my body or my mind..
Or when I do extended fasting.

It’s not a miracle booster, or a magic Pill, but a quiet, reliable helper that works in the background. Not loud. But steady. And real.

What’s Creatine Good For? (In case you’re curious…)

  • Supports cellular energy production
  • Can boost physical performance and muscle strength
  • Plays a role in brain metabolism
  • Studied for cognitive decline and memory support
  • May help preserve muscle during fasting

Final Thoughts:
Creatine is not just a fitness hype for me – even though many bodybuilders take it daily in large doses.
It’s a low-key compound with high potential.
Not a magic pill –
But perhaps a small yet important building block in the overall structure of my body.

Invisible. But real.
